The Associated Press is reporting on the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) assesment of Bush Administration attempts to increase poisonous pollution breathed by many Americans. "Bush administration plans to ease clean air rules for thousands of aging industrial plants might increase air pollution, the National Academy of Sciences said Friday." The NAS was created by Abraham Lincoln to serve the nation as scientific advisors. As the Bush administration disregards the scientific consensus, he undermines the work of generations of Republican administrations. The NAS report also rebuked the Environmental Protection Agency for shoddy research and science. The Supreme Court is currently reviewing the Bush assault on clean air. If they side with the Administration, we will pay with increased health care costs, lowered economic productivity and death of our fellow Americans. Read the story in the Washington Post.
